Creating a Great Work Place | Office repair

February marks a new chapter in life in Paris Smith.

On February 24, all our colleagues based in Southampton moved back to our icon office in 1 London Road. Eight -month renovations and total modernization of our professional home in Southampton were finally completed.

I have to admit, during the previous weekend, I was nervous in a way that I did not feel for years. So much has happened since 2020 and the debate about the future of the office is endless. Maintenance and great attention have been included in the design, materials, lighting, and sound management, texture and space, under the alert view of the Axis House, our training director Sue Murphy, Rob Jupp surveyor in Cornerstone and of course my partner in Paris Smith. 1 London Road looks extraordinary, but how people feel working in the building. There is only one way to find out!

The response from my colleagues was very humble. I am blessed surrounded by a large group of people who are talented and hardworking, but even so, their collective response to great change has exceeded all my positive hopes and hopes. I am very grateful to all of them.

Entering this project, I will say we hope:

  • Open collaborative space that is fully modernized, comfortable, bright enough and planned to work, with the top IT kit;
  • Quality furniture throughout;
  • Many meeting rooms are soundproof, two and more people on each floor;
  • Great votes throughout the building;
  • Break Out Comfort Space on each floor;
  • Kitchen, dining room and relaxation on each floor;
  • Beautiful acceptance areas and a series of client space and presentation areas, with top level technology;
  • The amount of storage space is reasonable for those who have not finished their journey to paper free working;
  • Clear tables, floors, and open spaces, with space reserved for private items;
  • Technology -based ordering systems that allow table management and instant rooms with a touch of buttons; And
  • Most important – Coffee is amazing!

This has all been conveyed – and many more.

I also saw:

  • The spirit of Paris Smith in that best place, his colleagues helped each other through change;
  • A number of smiles, energy, and “can be done” approach;
  • Real desire to be present, because London Road and Southampton are the right places to work;
  • The IT team and the extraordinary IT team made the building as close as possible to move as closely as possible to move, and deal with obstacles when they appeared for a week;
  • Family members go around the building to be proud where their couples, mothers, fathers, or children work;
  • The team that provides a variety of sitting services together to work, share ideas and practice, or enjoy the exit space with lunch facing the Southampton Park;
  • Pride that is visible and vocal to who we are, what we do, and what we want to bring to Southampton and a wider area for years to come.

Renovation has become a big investment by Mitra Paris Smith, and every penny is commensurate. We hope that the energy released to help us further improve our business practice, reduce operating costs in the long run and provide more and better value for clients.

Our colleagues deserve the best professional home, like our clients and supporters. This serves as a clear signal of our long and sustainable commitment for both, and for a wider community that has supported us for 206 years.
