Football Manager Now Officially Holds a FIFA License

FIFA Football Manager – Sports Interactive canceled Football Manager 25 twice, causing the newest game for 2025 to not be released. But behind that, now the studio has brought fresh news.

It is known that Sports Interactive, which developed the Football Manger game, now officially holds the FIFA license for this football management game. What are the advantages later?

Football Manager Now Officially Holds a FIFA License

Reporting from the official Football Manager website, Sports Interactive has now announced that they have collaborated with FIFA, which is the international federation of football associations.

This license will apply to the next game, namely Football Manager 26, where in 2026, the association will hold the FIFA World Cup in Canada, the United States and Mexico.

And starting from June 2026, there will be an update on International Management changes which will be present in all game versions including the console version and also the Touch version, aka mobile.

This means that the 48 teams that have qualified for World Cup 26 will be present in the game along with broadcast graphics and match branding.

Sports Interactive Studio Director Miles Jacobson said that announcing this collaboration with FIFA was a very historic moment for the studio he runs.

Will Announce More in the Future

According to the Director, to be able to do this with the support of FIFA by having the official license grant them such things is an honor and something they are sure the fans will be happy to be able to enjoy next year.

And this is just the beginning of the relationship between Football Manager 26 and FIFA with Miles Jacobson saying there will be more to come in 2026 and beyond.

Football Manager 26 will be released globally for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series
