Forza Horizon 6 Officially Announced
In the Xbox Game Showcase segment yesterday, Microsoft closed the segment by showing a teaser reveal for their latest game, Forza Horizon 6 which was awaited by the fans.
This teaser has a short duration where the video in a garage shows various country plates where the Forza Horizon series was previously located. And of course, according to rumors circulating, the garage was apparently in Japan.
Now, Forza Horizon 6 is officially located in the country of Sakura and the game will be released in 2026 for PC platforms, Xbox Series, and also Xbox Game Pass. For other platforms such as PS5 will follow after the initial release platform. But it is unknown when this game will be present on PS5.
Microsoft explained that they would show more in early 2026 and also invited fans to monitor the official channels of this game for the latest updates.
Present the change of seasons in the game
Forza Horizon itself does have a changing season feature since the 4th series located on the British coast. And this feature is increasingly improved in each series and is seen in the 5th series in Mexico.
Now, changes this season are not just visual and environmental changes. Reporting from Xbox Wire, Don Arceta who is an Art Director of this game illustrates that changes this season have a dramatic impact on landscapes and their world and will have a deeper meaning of culture for Japanese culture.
This change will be seen from the atmosphere, activities, and also the sound in the game starting from the sound of the train, the sound of the summer wind and so on. And it turns out this is made based on Japanese cultural consultants, Kyoko Yamashita.
Kyoko explained that the developer team wanted to show more than just “postcard pictures” and wanted to show a living world. His role as a consultant helps the development of the environment in detail which makes the game immersive.
Forza Horizon 6 will show gameplay in early 2026 where in that year, they also plan to release the game. And based on the release pattern of this series in general, it is estimated that the game will be released from September to November.
