Massive Entertainment Reveals Development of The Division 3 is Still Continuing

That’s because the roadmap for The Division 3 was planned and determined long beforehand.
Currently, the development team implements two work lines simultaneously where one team focuses on working on content for games that are already running, while the other team is busy building the next game. The two regularly exchange notes about what is working and what needs to be improved, so that the development process is mutually reinforcing.

Yannick Banchereau as Creative Director also said that Massive now works in a much more structured way, especially in facing technical challenges. He emphasized the importance of allocating time and resources wisely to update legacy code and reduce tech debt.
